Below are just a few of the many letters Avromi has received from various people over the past few years, both from performing at Weddings and at Concerts.
London Dear Avromi, I am writing to thank you for your wonderful singing at our wedding. The wedding service was the most important and serious and emotional part of the day and your singing made these feelings possible. The beauty of your voice matched the beauty of the bride! The evocative prayers and hymns created the atmosphere of love and honour and heart felt oaths which make up the service. Your music washed over us all and lifted our hearts and along with Rabbi Silverstone’s words were the centrepiece of our day. We just look back on the service with warmth and fondness and extreme gratitude. For those special minutes we were all transfixed and reminded of all that is great about Judaism and all that music brings to life. In any case, thank you so much for your priceless voice and all it gave us on our wedding day. Your sincerely Michael Kurer |
London Dear Avromi, It is now early on Monday morning and we are just awakening from what seems like a dream. We did not want to miss a single moment before thanking you as fully as we are able, for making our Chuppah so very special. Your glorious singing skills are widely recognised and admired but the Kavanah with which you sung the Sheva Brachot in particular will stay with us forever – what we heard can only be described with adjectives used to describe things of sheer beauty. Forgive me if I am sounding “gushing”…but I am simply anxious to ensure that you recognise our massive appreciation for the warmth and magic you brought to our Chuppah. Allan and Wendy Blacher |
Tami and I are writing to express our heartfelt gratitude for the wonderful service you led under the Chuppah. We were overwhelmed by the beauty of your voice, every note and niggun expressing the joy of the occasion alongside the beauty of the music. Our guests have not stopped talking about you, especially the non Jewish guests who were amazed at your voice and the dignity you imparted to the wedding. |
London I wanted to thank you most sincerely from us for your incredible singing on our big day …Most of all though it was your hymns and sheva brochos which moved us more than I can say. I don’t think any of us can watch Eshet Chayil withouth a tear in our eye. We will remember your serenade as Shlomo described it, always. Tracy and Marc Abraham |
Sunday was a most emotional and joyous simcha for us. Your contribution was outstanding. Your singing was magnificent and your manner natural and relaxing which was particularly helpful for Nina and Daniel. We received many compliments afterwards and so many said how your chazanot was just thrilling. Thanks also for your help with the choir and getting them to follow my instructions. Their singing matched yours in emotion and power. Thanks again |
I am writing on behalf of my wife and myself to thank you for your part in the wonderful ceremony on Sunday. Whilst all wedding are special, something very special happened on Sunday, which lifted the ceremony onto an even higher place than usual and which has everyone who was there buzzing long after we left the Shul. Indeed we are still receiving glowing comments about it today and a great deal of that is due to your bueatiful singing which so enhanced the magic of the occasion It truly was the most beautiful of ceremonies and the memory of it will live forever in our hearts. Thank you so much once again |
Liverpool My wife and I wish to thank you, your choir and the musicians for the magnificence of your performance at our daughter’s chuppah. It brought me and many others to tears with emotion. So many said that is was the finest chupa they have even attended and I certainly agree with them. The combination of your voices and the splendour of the venue made it an occasion that will be remembered. Ivor Bennett |
..we can only say that you gave us pure joy, not simply by the warmth of your singing but also by the warmth of your presence and that of your very sweet wife. Thank you for making the chupa an experience which we shall remember and treasure always. Michael and Charlotte Steinhart |
I’m one of the Mispallelim who was in Shul last night for the first Selichot and I thought I’d write and tell you what your interpretation did for me. That your voice is beautiful, well, we’ve known that for a long time, and that you have been studying with notes Rebbes shows in your polish, but what, if I may say, singles you out as a great Chazzan is your wonderful Perush Hamilot, seen especially in the Bmotzoe Menucha when you improvised so warmly and movingly, which illustrates what a complete talent you possess. Also the intelligent use of your fine forces – a clear mezzo voice and a cultured upper range hold forth great promise. One rarely weeps during on’es Tfillot, I did last night and I hope that your Shlichut D’Zibburei will bring us all a Shnas Chasima Tova. Elie |
Just a quick note to thank you for your contribution to last nights concert which according to friends Jewish and Non Jewish in the audience was a huge success. Those with who I talked – none of whom had previous heard yoiur in concert – thought that you were absolutely fabulous. You also impressed the choir members, some of whom consider themselves to be experts in all matters musical. Froma personal point of view it was an absolute joy to work with you. Apart from the pleasure which I derived from hearing you sing, your approach and diligence were exemplary and I look forward to us working together again in the not too distant future. Kind Regards |
Brighton and Hove Hebrew Congregation Dear Avromi Words are just not adequate to describe your concert on Sunday. To say fabulous, fantastic, uplifting and inspiring only give someidea of what people thought of it. From our point of view all that we can do is to say a very big thank you on behalf of the whole community. Wishing you success in the future and hoping that next concert is even better (if possible!). Your sincerely |
Edgware Synagogue (Sefer Torah) A note of thanks to you for helping to make our simcha last Sunday the success it was. Your contribution was beautiful and was commented on by so many people during and after the service. The beauty of your voice and nussach was a major part of a memorable afternoon for all who were there. With kindest regards Tommy Dayan, Alan French Peter Weil |
Dear Avromi You wont know me by name but I am a friend of Jeremy and Gill Freedman and had the pleasure of being at the Lvov Concert last week. I just wanted to congratulate you for providing us wwith a magnificent evening of Chazanic music, thoroughly enjoyeable and so emotionally moving. Truthfully Idiodnt want it to end and only wished there was a cd of the concert to buy in order to relive it. You are an amazing man with a unique style and every time I have had the pleasure of hearing you conduct a service or a concert, you have never faiuled to insipire me. I am a member of Stanmore and was talking to a friend in Shul, both of us agreeing that if we could have had the pleaure of your services the congrgants would have to go into a ballot to get a seat! Best wishes Bernard Woolf |
